The Chunky Leg Difference
While other TV stands hide behind thin tapered legs, ours celebrates solid oak. The chunky legs are cut from single blocks of 8cm x 8cm solid rustic oak, mortise and tenon jointed to the frame for ultimate strength. This is the TV stand you buy once and keep for life, it will not sag, warp or date.

Q1: What’s the difference between this and your Chunky Rustic Oak TV Stand?
A: They share the same solid oak build, but this Chunky Leg version focuses on the oversized 8cm x 8cm square legs as a design feature, with a more open, minimal frame. The other Chunky version has a chunkier overall frame. Both have 4cm thick tops and are equally strong.
Q2: Are the chunky legs solid oak?
A: Yes, solid 8cm x 8cm blocks of kiln-dried rustic oak, not hollow or veneered. They are mortise and tenon jointed for lifetime strength and can hold 80kg+ TVs without wobble.
Q3: Is it solid oak or oak effect?
A: 100% solid European rustic oak throughout – top, chunky legs, shelf and back. No MDF, chipboard, veneer or oak effect. We’re a solid oak workshop, not a flat-pack importer.
Q4: Can you make the chunky leg TV stand to fit my alcove?
A: Absolutely. This is our most popular style for alcoves. We can make it any width from 80cm to 220cm. Send your alcove width and we’ll build it to fit with 1cm clearance for airflow.
Q5: Will a Sky box and games console fit underneath?
A: Yes, the lower shelf is bespoke cm high, designed for Sky Q, Virgin 360, PS5 and Xbox. We can raise or lower the shelf if you have a tall AV receiver.
