Tired of fighting with cables and overheating consoles? Our Chunky Rustic Oak TV Stand Open Rear is handmade in Lincolnshire from 100 percent solid, kiln dried European rustic oak with a clever open back design for ultimate ventilation and easy cable access. With its statement 4cm thick top, chunky solid oak legs and fully open rear panel, it is perfect for AV amplifiers, PS5, Xbox and Sky boxes that need airflow and constant access to sockets. No more reaching behind to plug things in. Just solid oak, built to last, with zero MDF or veneer. UK made to order in any size.
Why Choose Open Rear Design
Standard TV stands have a solid back panel that traps heat, bad for AV receivers, amplifiers, PS5 and Xbox that run hot. Our Open Rear version solves it.
Maximum Airflow, open back prevents overheating for amps and consoles. Easiest Cable Access, plug and unplug from behind without moving the whole stand. Wall Socket Friendly, perfect if your sockets are behind the unit. Clean Look From Front, still looks solid and chunky from the front. You still get our signature chunky build, 4cm thick solid oak top and 8cm x 8cm chunky legs, but with practicality that gamers, home cinema fans and electricians love.

FAQ
Q1: What does 'Open Rear' mean?
A: The back panel is left open (no solid back) to give maximum ventilation and easy access to wall sockets and cables. From the front it looks like our standard chunky TV stand, but from behind you can easily reach plugs without moving it. Perfect if your sockets are behind the unit.
Q2: Won’t cables be visible from behind?
A: From the front, no. The open rear is at the back against the wall, so cables drop straight down behind. If your TV stand is in the middle of a room, we recommend our closed-back Chunky Rustic Oak TV Stand instead.
Q3: Is it still solid oak?
A: Yes, 100% solid kiln-dried European rustic oak, top, legs, shelf and side panels. No MDF, chipboard or veneer. The only difference is the back panel is open for airflow, not solid.
Q4: Is this good for PS5, Xbox and AV amplifiers?
A: This is our best TV stand for hot-running gear. AV amps, PS5 and Xbox need airflow to prevent overheating and thermal throttling. The open rear provides constant ventilation and easy access to rear ports.
Q5: Can you make it with a half-open back?
A: Yes, popular option is open at the top for cables/ventilation and closed at the bottom to hide trailing leads. Or we can add extra-large cable holes instead of fully open. Just message before ordering.
